Thomas Minelga graduated Cook Inlet Academy in 2005, and then actively pursued his love for film at Biola University in California where he graduated in December 2008 with a BA in Film Production. Thomas then earned a certificate for TESL from Cambridge University campus in San Francisco CA, and travel to Japan where he taught for 2 years. Thomas loved his time in Japan and became a very active member of the ex-pat community while he was there. Thomas returned to Alaska in 2011, and moved to Anchorage where he eventually began working for the State of Alaska and married Claire Rowley in 2014. He is an active photographer, traveler, and outdoor adventurer.
Claire Rowley Minelga graduated from Cook Inlet Academy in 2007 and spent the next decade traveling and pursuing her BA in Fine Arts which was earned in December 2016 from UAA. Claire’s studies took her to Trinity Western University in British Columbia, Italy with Saints Bible Institute, and eventually volunteering for 7 months aboard the HMS Africa Mercy in Sierra Leone, and South Africa in 2010 and 2011. Claire currently lives in Anchorage, AK with her husband, Thomas Minelga (2005), and works for the NOAA Office of Law Enforcement as an Executive Assistant. They are founding members of their small house church, and love to travel together. The next big trip is planned for New Zealand in 2018.
